Rawalpindi: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday indicted seven accused, including former CPO Rawalpindi Saud Aziz and SP Rawal Town Khurram Shahzad, in Benazir Bhutto murder case.
The trial was held inside Adiala Jail Rawalpindi. The others indicted are Aitazaz Shah, Sher Zaman, Hussain Gul, Raqat Hussain and Abdul Rasheed.
However, the former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, an accused in the case living in self-imposed exile, was not indicted.
The court asked prosecution to present evidence against the accused in the next hearing and adjourned the proceeding till November 19.
Benazir Bhutto, the first female prime minister of the Muslim world, was killed in a gun and suicide attack after a public meeting in Liaquat Bagh Rawalpindi on December 27,2007.
