Perth: Two rival contenders, Pakistan and India, will face each other second time on Tuesday in the ongoing Tri-Nation Hockey Series in Australia.
In the first 3-3 draw match, Pakistan and Indian players scuffled each other, injuring two Pakistan players Shafqat Rasool and Mohammad Imran (Junior).
According to the media reports, the Indian players got angry after the last-minute goal and scuffled with the Pakistani players that led to fighting, involving all the players.
After hearing of both sides’s version of the incident, Tournament Director Graham Napier clamped ban on the players and team officials.
Coach of the Indian Hockey team Yograj Sing and player Chandi were banned for five matches while manager of the Indian side, David and player Toshar were banned for one match besides Gabraj was banned for three matches.
Pakistani skipper Shakeel Abbasi was also banned for one match as a penalty for indulging in the physical fight on the ground.
