Kevin Pietersen hit 53 off 39 to guide England to a six-wicket win in the one-off T20, allowing them to end the tour with a victory.
For India, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Yousuf Pathan and Virat Kohli take a wicket each.
England, the reigning world Twenty20 champions, restricted the hosts to 120-9 and then overhauled the modest target with eight deliveries to spare.
Suresh Raina top scored with 39 runs followed by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who made 21.
It was England’s only win on the limited-overs tour of India after being blanked 5-0 in the preceding one-day series.
