Dhaka: Lendl Simmons and Marlon Samuels helped West Indies to defeat Bangladesh by eight wickets in the second one day and win the series 2-0. West Indies reached the target of 221 in the 43rd over, losing only two wickets on the way. Simmons scored 80. Samuels remained not out on 88. They added 111 for the second wicket.
Shakib al Hasan got the two wickets.
Bangladesh had a disastrous start as they lost their first three wickets within the first two overs and the fourth in the fifth over.
Captain Mushfiqur Rahim then built a few small partnerships to steady the innings. He made 69. Nasir Hossain steered the innings towards the end. He scored 50.
Kemar Roach grabbed three wickets while Rampaul and Sammy took two wickets each.
Samuels was declared man of the match.
