Rawalpindi: On direction of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, army uniform has been modified.
All the pips which were placed on shoulders, will now be placed on chest. The signs of unit and regiment which used to be on arms, will now be on collars. No general officer will have its rank in the cap.
Placing the Pakistan flag on every uniform has been made mandatory for all officers and jawans.
The changes have reportedly been ordered to make the uniform even better than the uniforms of British and American troops.
