Washington: Deputy Secretary of State Thomas Nides has said that escalating tension between the United States and Pakistan would be overcome soon.
Talking to Pakistan’s Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Nides said that differences between both the countries do not mean that both the countries are enemies of each other.
The deputy secretary of state said that America – according to its promise – is committed to help Pakistan in the building of Diamer Bhasha Dam.
Meanwhile, US Special Envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan Marc Grossman in a meeting with Pakistani Ambassador to Washington Hussain Haqqani said that tension between both the countries could not be obsessive.
He said if there were differences between both the countries on the issue of Haqqani network then both the countries have also consensus on several other issues.
