Kabul: Two US-led NATO soldiers have been killed in separate incidents in eastern Afghanistan.
The casualties were caused on Sunday due to the detonation of improvised explosive devices (IED), Xinhua reported, citing a statement by the foreign forces.
The alliance withheld further information, including the nationalities of the soldiers.
So far this year, over 450 foreign troops have died in Afghanistan — most of them American.
The security situation has been deteriorating across Afghanistan over the past few years despite the presence of around 150,000 foreign troops in the country.
The increasing number of troop casualties in Afghanistan has caused widespread anger in the US and other NATO member states, undermining public support for the Afghan war.
