Islamabad: The 7th National Women’s Football Championship organized by Pakistan Football Federation fell victim to mismanagement whereas organizing committee forbade media to cover the event.
The 7th National Women’s Football Championship is in progress in Pakistan Sports Complex in which a large number of players lodged complaints of providing substandard food and drinking items. But the organizing committee hasn’t taken any action in this regard yet and Chairperson Women Wing Rubina Irfan doesn’t confer correct news if someone tries to get updates from her.
Media isn’t provided with proper facilities in the tournament whereas organizing committee doesn’t have former records of National Champions due to which media are facing several difficulties in covering the matches.
Meanwhile, on the confirmation of Match Commissioner media was allowed to write a report about the goal keeper Mah Para who scored a goal in a match between Young Rising Star Football Club and Balochistan. But the administration of the organizing committee forbade media to cover the event and they even misbehaved with the media people whereas media men staged strong protest over Committee’s such kind of behaviour.
