Lahore: More then 1600 Dengue cases have been reported since the last few days across the Punjab particularly majority of cases registered in Lahore as 104 more cases were registered since the last 24 hours.
The fear grips Punjab amid rising number of patients owing to inadequate arrangements to cope with the virus.
The measures taken by the government against the epidemic remained mere claims. In Faisalabad, 33 patients have been brought to various hospitals.
According to the sources there are more than 200 cases of dengue reported in Faisalabad. In Rawalpindi and Islamabad, 16 more cases were reported. The total number of patients in the twin cities is 77. In Nishtar Hospital 33 more patients were admitted. The ward number 27 of the hospital has been allocated for dengue patients exclusively.
Five more patients namely Robina, Imran, Qaiser, Kamran and Adnan have confirmed to have dengue virus.
