Karachi: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Sindh police on Saturday arrested a militant having links with the Hezbollah Parachinar group.
Senior Superintendent Police CID Fayyaz Ahmed told media that a CID team raided Tariq Road area on a tip-off and after exchange of fire arrested the alleged militant identified as Abid Bangish, associated with Hezbollah Parachinar group.
He said that the man was involved in different bank robberies besides funding Hezbollah Parachinar group, which runs militancy camps in Parachinar.
The SSP CID said that police recovered two hand-grenades, one kalashnikov and looted money of Rs230,000 from the accused.
