Islamabad: Teams of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) along with relief goods and tents were dispatched Friday for operation in flood affected areas of Sindh province.
Spokesman of NDMA Irshad Bhatti said that 10 thousands tents and 10 thousands ration packs were also sent to the affected districts.
He added that arrangements are made to buy more 50 thousands ration from utility stores. Bhatti informed that with the help of district and provincial authorities NDMA is providing medicines, mosquito nets besides portable water to over 10 thousands people in devastated areas.
The NDMA teams would be operated in Tando Allah Yar, Tando Jam, Tando Mohammad Khan, Jam Shoro, Jakababad, Thatha, Mirpur Khas, and Hyderabad, the spokesman said.
