Peshawar: Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan on Tuesday. While Majority of the people who follow government’s orders will celebrate Eid on Wednesday.
After the announcement of moon sighting by local Ruit-e-Hilal committee, Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday. The announcement was made by Mufti Shahabuddin Populzai in Peshawar.
Meanwhile, the KPK government disowned Mufti Populzai announcement.
Partial Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in Peshawar, however, complete in Charsadda, Mardan, Sawabi, FATA and some other towns whereas the residents of Peshawar Cantt, Hazara Division, Malakand and Sawat will keep fast on Tuesday.
