Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Shareef postponed the Karachi visit and abruptly went back to Lahore on Friday after kidnapping of Shahbaz Taseer, son of slain governor Salman Taseer, and called on the victim family.
CM Punjab had to quit his Karachi visit in the middle after political parties criticized and condemned the kidnapping vehemently.
The Chief Minister Shahbaz Shareef was so desperate about Taseer’s kidnapping that he called an urgent high level meeting at Lahore airport, in which Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, IG Punjab Police and others were present.
During the meeting at Lahore Airport CM Punjab Shahbaz Shareef and the participants discussed various aspects of the kidnapping. CM Punjab said that the people involved in the abduction would be brought to justice and no ease would be left for his release.
Later, Shahbaz Shareef visited at Taseer’s house to assured the unlucky family that all possible steps would be taken to release him.
