Rawalpindi: Pakistan Army has expressed concerns over the aggravating law and order situation in Karachi, home to at least 20 million people and commercial hub of the nuclear armed nation.
According to statement issued here on Monday , Corps Commanders Conference of Pakistan Army was held presided over by Chief of Army Staff Gen Ashfaq Pervez Keyani here at General Headquarters (GHQ).
The statement noted that the army leadership expressed concerns over the adversary affects of the worsening law and order situation in Karachi on the economy. However the participants hoped that the recent steps being taken by the government would bring peace in the metropolis.
The statement said the participants were briefed about the ongoing military operations in the country’s northwestern areas, including Mehmond and Kurramg Agency.
The participants also discussed over all security situation of the country, the statement noted.
