According to the special representative of TNT at Khyber Agency, terrorist elements had exploded up about 64 public educational institutes, leaving the educational future of local masses in dark.
While talking to TNT, a senior officer of education department has said requesting anonymity that except some areas of BARA sub division, children from across the areas had been deprived of their basic right of education. He further said that majority of public schools in Jamrood areas have been blown up by terrorists, while rests have been closed due to the armed operation in the area.
When contacted, Khyber Agency Educational Officer Hashim Khan conformed the situation and said while replying to a query that the department could not present a time schedule for reopening of the schools, nor for the reconstruction of the demolished schools.
