Washington: American General Admiral Mike Mullen has said that military relationship between the United States and Pakistan was passing through very difficult time.
He said on Monday no hope has so far been seen that ties between both the countries would improve.
He went on to say that there was need to strengthen ties between both the countries. Pakistan’s civilian aid would be continued despite all differences, he added.
Mullen affirmed that Pakistan and Afghanistan were very important for America and the US wants peace in the region.
Ties between Pakistan and the US have remained soured since the US raid in Abottabad on May 02 that killed Osama bin Laden.
It is worth mentioning here that Mullen had been criticised Pakistan’s Army and ISI in the past and he was the first American who blamed Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence over the killing of Asia journalist Saleem Shahzad that further deteriorated the ties between ISI and CIA.
