Islamabad: Prime Minister Y0usaf Raza Gilani on Monday left for London on a five-day private visit where he will have a series of official engagements aimed at enhancing Pak-UK bilateral relations.
According to Sources,Gilani would meet the Deputy Prime Minister of Britain, Nick Clegg, as the British Prime Minister David Cameron is on a foreign visit.
He would also meet British Foreign Secretary William Hague and discuss ways to further expand bilateral ties in all spheres. Pak-UK strategic partnership, economic relations and Pakistan’s role in fighting extremism and terrorism would figure during his talks.
Gilani was driven to the aircraft like ordinary passengers in a coaster van here at the Benazir Bhutto airport, without any protocol.
He departed on a commercial flight of the national flag carrier. Prime Minister Gilani would also attend the graduation ceremony of his son Ali Qasim Gilani in UK.
