Peshawar: At least six people were killed and several others injured when two mortar shells landed in two houses amid fierce ballets between security forces and militants in Kurram tribal region near Afghan border, sources said on Tuesday.
The sources said that identities of dead and injured were not ascertained so far.
Pakistan Army launched military offensive in mid Kurram areas against the militants last week, landing troops backed by military, paramilitary forces and Pakistan Air Force.
