Lahore: Senior officials of the Punjab government on Saturday refused to brief Governor Latif Khosa over flood situation.
According to media reports, the governor had decided to get briefing about flood situation under Act 131 and called Home Secretary Shahid Khan, Irrigation Secretary Irfan Ilahi, Health Secretary Jahzaib, Communication Secretary Anjum Salaman, Additional Secretary Agriculture Dr. Anjum and DG Disaster Management Authority Khalid Sher Dil for this purpose.
But they refused to brief Latif Khosa over flood situation. During a press conference at the Governor House, Khosa said that the Punjab government was constitutionally responsible to brief him about provincial administrative matters.
The Governor said that Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif should enjoy the cool winds of London but he should not forget his constitutional responsibilities and take action against responsible officials of the incident.
