Karachi: Al-Qaeda has said that Pakistan’s military was the part of raid conducted on Osama bin Laden’s compound by the US navy SEALS on May 2 that killed its chief, and expressed its resolved to avenge death of every Mujahid (militant).
In an audio message Ahmed Farooq, a leader of an alleged militant group al-Qaeda Pakistan, Ahmed Farooq said the group was saddened for the killing of its leader on Pakistani territory. Ahmed in his audio release expresses deep grief and sorrow over Osama’s demise and say the Mujahedeen consider Osam’s relations with Taliban’s supreme commander Mullah Muhammad Omer a great inspiration for it.
He said that the Mujahedeen were now bound to act in accordance with the directions issued by the Taliban supreme commander.
He alleged that though Pakistani military and intelligence agency was involved in the ‘conspiracy’ to kill Osama, but was not accepting its role in the operation due to fear of potential backlash by Pakistani Muslims and Mujahedeen.
In the audio message the Pakistan based group commander expressed sorry to Dr Aiman al-Zawahiri and others leaders of al-Qaeda high command for the killing of Osama by their fellow Pakistanis.
Ahmed Farooq vows that his group will avenge the killing of Osama by targeting Pakistan’s security forces. He also appealed to the other religious groups, operating in the country to join armed movement.
He says” we want such a Pakistan where Mujahedeen can move freely”. The group commander said Pakistan army killed several innocent people. He invited the security forces officials to start a revolt.
