KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami concluded its sit-in protest on Sunday, demanding the government to reject the United States’ interference in the country.
The sit-in protest was organised at Tibet center on MA Jinnah Road in Karachi, the southern city of Pakistan, against the rising US’ interference, drone attacks, target killings, extortion, poverty and the government’s silence over Abbotabad and other domestic issues.
Speaking the sit-in protest JI Ameer (Chief) Munawar Hassan said that the nation has refused the US’ interference and drone attacks in the country. The massive sit-in protest has proved that there is no place for the thugs of Washington in Pakistan, he added.
JI Chief said that the US had carried out hundreds of drone attacks in Pakistan, killing thousands of innocent people including women and children and the government is responding a criminal silence.
He said that 20 to 25 thousands CIA agents were present in the country. The US is intended to take the revenge of its failure in Afghanistan by hatching conspiracies against the sovereignty of Pakistan.
The JI chief said that if the government remains fail to implement the parliament’s resolution than decisions would be taken on roads and through demonstration.
JI announced to stage the second sit-in Gujranwala city of Pakistan’s largest province.
