Islamabad: The father of Pakistan’s nuclear program Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan has said that country’s nuclear arsenal was in safe hands.
Khan’s comments came when the nation is celebrating ‘ Youm-e Takbeer’ across the country to commemorate nuclear tests carried out in May 28 1998
While talking to a private television AQ Khan said that the nuclear weapons were not a “piece of cake” for the enemies to take it away.
Khan said that the nuclear weapons have been kept under fool proof security and no one could breach it.
Pakistan is under severe US pressure since the killing of Osama bin Laden and terrorists attacks on its naval base with India and US raising concerns over the security of its nuclear arsenal.
Dr AQ Khan was of the view that the world powers were against the country’s nuclear program since the day first. He said that once again international propaganda has been launched against the country.
He expressed concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation in the country and urged that the situation was going to be out of control. Replying a query Khan said that the government was not serious to exploit the nuclear program to steer the country out of crises.
