Washington: White House spokesman has said that US does not think there is need for any apologies over US special commandos operation in Abottabad, Pakistan on May 02.
The White House spokesman Jay Carney said on Monday that the US has asked Pakistani government to probe Osama Bin Laden’s presence in Pakistan.
There are a few differences between the US and Pakistan over Bin Laden raid, he added. Ties between both the countries are very complicated, but very important, he said.
He said the US has reservations over Bin Laden’s presence in Pakistan, and the United States President Barack Obama had made it clear that unilateral operation would be conducted to get Osama Bin Laden.
Carney said that authorities are in contact to reduce tension between the two countries.
He said Abottabad operation was kept in secret. Even several top officials were kept away from the operation, he said.
