Islamabad: The parliamentary leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Dr Farooq Sattar has said that the upcoming budget would be a test case for the government and it must not ignore MQM’s proposals.
While talking to media on Monday, Sattar said the country is facing many problems which are bigger than MQM’s joining the treasury benches and MQM wants to resolve all these issues.
He advised the government to elucidate its policies before budget as adoption of finance bill from parliament this year would be tough job for PPP. The government should remember its promise of including political parties in the process of budget making.
“MQM is the ally of the government and Interior Minister Rehman Malik is making efforts to negotiate with MQM from PPP side. A positive progress was made in the talks”, he added.
He said MQM is in front of people like an open book as it has been endeavoring for the resolution of people’s problems. He told the reports that talks on several national issues were held between PML-Q and MQM. It was agreed that both the parties would keep in touch with one another to meet the challenges.
