Washington: Pakistani Ambassador to Washington Hussaina Haqqani has said that the United States intends permanent bilateral ties with Pakistan.
Secretary of States Hilary Clinton said that bilateral ties between Pakistan and the US would continue despite all differences. She said strengthen and democratic Pakistan is in the favour America and the region as well, Haqqani quoted Clinton as saying. There is need of collective success in war on terror, Clinton added.
Haqqani said the meeting between Salman Bashir and Hilary Clinton was remained successful.
Haqqani said Pakistan Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir called on American officials including Hilaty Clinton, David Petraus, Robert Black, Thomas Naides and Willium Burner to discuss strategic ties between both the countries.
He said Pakistan has its clear stance over US drone attacks in northwest region of Pakistan. He said ties between Pakistan and the US are being tried to restore as were before 9/11.
Haqqani said Special US representative to Pakistan and Afghanistan Mark Grossman would visit Pakistan next month. Haqqani said how is it possible that Pakistan’s ISI supports Haqqani network who attacked General Headquarter of Army.
The ambassador said Pakistani forces and people have given a lot of sacrifices in war against militants.
