Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan is in difficult situation because of front line state in war on terror, but Pakistan’s military and political leadership have same approach in war on terror.
While addressing on a national assembly session on Monday evening, Gilani said Pakistan has made it clear to United States administration that drone attacks adversely affecting the campaign against terrorism. He said American success in Afghanistan is dependent with Pakistan.
He said Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Ahmed Shuja Pasha visited the US after approval of Pakistan government. He said we should not show doubt over national intelligence agencies.
Gilani said the US administration has been asked that drone technology should be given to Pakistan because its our battle and only Pakistan forces have kept rights to target militants dens.
He said Pakistan and the US enjoyed defence and political cooperation and one incident could not affect the bilateral ties between both the countries. He said exchange of parliamentary diplomats Pakistan and the US should take place. The US would not cut Pakistan aid despite difficulties, he added.
The prime minister said Pakistan and Afghanistan are the most affected countries of war on terror. He said Pakistan wants peaceful Afghanistan because peaceful and stable Pakistan in favour of Pakistan and world as well.
He said he himself visited India and Afghanistan to improve bilateral and trilateral ties with neighbouring countries. He said relationship with India and Afghanistan has little improved.
