Quetta: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Sardar Mehrullah Khan Umrani was shot dead in Khuzdar, Balochistan province of Pakistan, on Tuesday, police said.
The police said unidentified gunmen sprayed with bullets Umrani on Chakar Khan Road, Khuzdar, resultantly he died on the spot. The assailant managed to escape from the scene, police said.
Police rushed to the spot and launched search operation to arrest the killers.
It is worth mentioning here that father of Umrani has also been killed last year, but his killers are yet to be arrested.
Central Organising Committee of PML-N strongly condemned the murder of its party leader.
The COC demanded Governor, Chief Minister and IG Balochistan to arrest the criminal and take strict action against the persons involved in the cowardly act.
