Washington: Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence Chief Ahmed Shuja Pasha Monday called on CIA Director Leon Panetta to discuss ISI demands for greater control over US spy operations in Pakistan.
The meeting, at CIA headquarters in Virginia represented an attempt by both Leon Panetta and ISI Chief Lt-Gen Ahmad Shuja Pasha to repair the critical relationship between the two agencies.
Officials from the both side said the meeting was good, though key issues remain unresolved.
“Director Panetta and Gen Pasha held productive discussions today (Monday) and the CIA-ISI relationship remains on solid footing,” Preston Golson, a CIA spokesman, said.
