Karachi: A huge crowd paid warm welcome Pakistan cricket team at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport, Karachi on early Friday morning.
Despite losing semifinal from India Pakistan team overall performance in the tournament was appreciable. Hundreds of supporters echoed slogans in favour of Pakistan, Shahid Afridi, skipper of national cricket team, and his guys.
Hundreds of cricket loving fans including young girls, boys, and families of players have gathered Karachi airport to offer warm welcome to the national team.
Provincial advisers to Chief Minister Sindh Rashid Rabbani and Waqar Mehdi were also at the airport to receive and appreciate the team performance.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official also reached at the airport to receive the team.
High security measures have been taken on the airport.
Three Pakistani players including Afridi and Younus Khan were taken out from the airport from arrival gate because of security reasons. The remaining players were waiting in the waiting lounge and will fly to their cities through connecting flights.
