Islamabad: Deal between the relatives of two Pakistanis, who were shot dead by an American (Raymond Davis) in Lahore on January 27, has been released.
The documents were released by Express News, a private Pakistani TV channel.
According to the documents, some 200 million blood money has been given to 18 relatives of Faizan and Faheem, who were killed by Davis. Out of them 10 were Faizan’s relatives while eight others were Faheem’s relatives.
The deal shows that some 120 million were paid to 10 relatives of Faizan.
Faizan’s mother Perveen Akther was paid Rs 333, 333,33, while Faizan’s wife Zahra Shahzad was given 250,000,00. Faizan’s five sisters were paid Rs 378,787,9 each, while his three brothers Imran Haider, Usman Haider and Salman Haider were paid Rs 757,575,8 each.
Meanwhile, eight relatives of Faheem were paid some 80 million.
Faheem’s mother Halima Neelum was paid Rs 333, 333,33, while his father Mohammad Saleem was given Rs 111,111,11. Two sisters of Faheem were given Rs 555,555,6 while Faheem’s three brothers Mohammad Saleem, Mohammad Waseem and Mohammad Jamshed were given Rs 111,111,11. However, 8th relative of Faheem is yet to be known.
While, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in a statement has said that the US government has not paid compensation money for the release of Davis. She said Davis was released by Pakistani court. She also thanked Pakistani government over the release of Davis.
