Mirpur: Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and elected to bat first against West Indies in their World Cup Group B match at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Friday.
Both sides will be playing their third match with two points each.
Bangladesh was beaten by India by 87 runs in the tournament opener but later defeated Ireland by 27 runs.
West Indies went down to a seven-wicket defeat by South Africa in its first game but bounced back to hammer Netherlands by 215 runs.
In their last one-day meeting in 2009, Bangladesh trounced a second-string West Indies side 3-0 in the series.
