Anti-government protests in Libya have entered a second week. More than two thousand people have been killed so far but the Libyan president has refused to leave, saying that external elements are behind the protests and they would not be allowed to occupy Libya.
Meanwhile, Chief of Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) Amar Moosa has announced that he would take part in the upcoming election of Egypt.
Mass protests in Egypt forced Hosni Mobarak to relinquish power in the second week of February. Mobarak is now living in political asylum in Saudi Arabia.
