Pakistan got the opener Tharanga wicket at the score of 76 caught by Shahid Afridi on the bowling of Mohammad Hafeez. The opener scored 33 runs off 43 balls.
Sri Lanka lose second opener of M Dilshan at the score was 88 runs when skipper Afridi bowled him. Dilshan scored 41 runs off 55 balls.
Pakistan got third wicket on the score of 95 runs when Jayawardene was bowled by speed star, Shoaib Akhtar, who could score just 2 runs off 10 balls.
Sri Lanka had to drop fourth wicket as score reached to 96 runs when skipper Afridi got his second wicket of Samaraweera, who was stumped out by Wicket Keeper Kamran Akmal.
Sri Lankan batsman KC Sangakkara coming at the one down position, still on the crease and has scored 21 runs so far off 24 balls. The wicket of Sangakkara is being considered crucial by Pakistan side.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. Thee n team scored the total of 277 runs losing 7 wickets in 50 overs.
Misbah-ul-Haq while playing impressively, is the top scorer from green side who made 83 runs in just 91 balls. The second high top scorer is Younis Khan, scoring 72 runs off 76 balls.
