Chennai: India beat New Zealand in its second warm up match by 117 runs on Wednesday at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Indian skipper Mahindra Singh Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat first. India scored a huge total of 360 runs at the loss of five wickets in allotted 50 overs. Although Tendulkar and Sehwag fell cheaply but Dhoni, Ghambir, Kohli and Raina helped India to set such a huge total. Dhoni scored 108 run with a strike rate of 169. Ghamir, Kohli and Raina scored 89, 59 and 50 runs, respectively.
Kyle Mills was the most expensive bowler who gave 81 run in 10 overs and picked just one wicket.
Black Caps were all out at 243 runs. McCullum and Guptil were the only two Kiwi batsmen who offered some resistance to Indian bowlers. Nehra, Yuvraj, Harbhajan and Chawla grabbed two wickets each.
Dhoni was declared man of the match.
