Islamabad: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Tuesday expressed its satisfaction over the investigation being carried out by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) into the multi billions National Insurance Company (NICL) scam.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry along with Justice Muhammad Sair Ali and Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday was hearing a suo motu case against the alleged NICL scam.
Director FIA Sindh Muazzam Jah told the court that on of the key accused in NICL scam Ameen Qasim Dada was still at large, adding that the agency has contacted more then 20 organisations to indentify Dada’s bank accounts.
Investigation officer of the case, additional director FIA Zafar Qureshi told the court that the agency had conducted several raids at Dada’s residence and recovered various documents.
He said that Aqeel Karim Dedhi had told the FIA that Dada had gone abroad.
The hearing was adjourned for two weeks.
