KARACHI: Unabated target killing continued in Karachi, the cosmopolitan city of Pakistan. In the fresh incident of target killing Deputy Secretary General of Awami National Party (ANP), was shot and injured in a firing incident while his two security guards were gunned down near Hasan Square, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town.
Spokesman of ANP, Qadri Khan told The News Tribe, a UK based Pakistani news website, that the incident took place near Hasan Square close to City District Government Karachi office when unidentified assailants opened indiscriminate fire at his vehicle. As a result, Bashir Jan was received severe injuries while his two security guards were killed in the incident.
The bodies and injured were rushed to Liaquat National Hospital Karachi.
However, area police said that Basheer Jan along with his two guards were injured and treated in the hospital.
