Islamabad: Maleeha Lodhi, a prominent Pakistani journalist, may be appointed as an ambassador in the United Nations.
She was ex-high commissioner of Pakistan in the United Kingdom and ambassador in the United States.
Diplomatic sources said that it has been confirmed that she will be the next ambassador from Pakistan in the United Nations but it is not yet officially cohfirmed.
She has also been a member of the United Nations Secretary General’s Advisory Board on Disarmament. She has also got Hilal-e-Imtiaz presidential award in 2002 for her public service.
