Peshawar: Chief of Pakistan People’s Party-Shaheed Benazir Bhutto group (PPP-SB) Arbab Khizer Hayat Khan on Sunday demanded of the government to resign immediately by accepting its failure to arrest the killers of party’s slain chairperson, Benazir Bhutto.
Talking exclusively to The News Tribe, Arbab Khizar said that the PPP-led government miserably failed to arrest the killers of Benazir Bhutto despite being in power for the last three years.
Arbab Khizar Hayat is a PPP dissenter, who have formed his own faction of PPP, PPP-SB, after developing differences with the incumbent government over its ‘inaction’ to arrest the killers of Benazir Bhutto. He says that the faction led by him is the real PPP, which is following the ideology and political vision of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. He termed the ruling PPP, as Zardari Group, which has forgotten the vision and ideology of party’s founding leaders.
Criticizing the incumbent government’s performance, he said how a party which miserably failed to arrest the killers of its party chairwomen could provide relief to the masses.
The outspoken PPP dissenter came hard on Prime Minister Gilani for not delivering on the fronts of good governance, eradication of corruption, lowering prices of essential commodities, providing relief to masses and law and order situation. He said the government, which failed to protect its Governor has no right to remain in power any more.
