KARACHI: The assassination of Governor Punjab Salmaan Taseer was condemned widely here on Tuesday.
Pakistan People’s Party announced two-week morning over the death of Salman Taseer.
Secretary Information PPP, Fauzia Wahab while condemning the assassination of Taseer said PPP would observe 2-week morning.
Talking to journalists here at Bilawal House, Karachi, she said that with the killing of Taseer, PPP lost a committed and great leader. She strongly condemned the killing.
Meanwhile, Senior Minister Punjab Raja Riaz Ahmed told journalists that the funeral prayer of Salman Taseer would be offered at Governor House, Lahore on Wednesday. He said that the body of Governor Punjab would be taken to Lahore from Islamabad on Tuesday night.
On the other hand, different political leaders including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Prime Minister AJK Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan, PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, ANP Chief Asfandyar Wali Khan, Chief Minister Amir Hyder Khan Hoti and other strongly condemned the killing of Salman Taseer
