ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Monday that the government will like to compete with Taliban in a cricket match.
Talking to media, Nisar said that if media men can carry my message to Taliban, we will like to compete with Taliban on a cricket pitch than on any other platform.
When asked to comment on the killing of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan commander Asmatullah Shaheen Bhatti, he said that “We will talk about it tomorrow”.
In November 2013, TTP spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid expressed anger over Pakistani media praising Indian star batsman Sachin Tnedulkar on his retirement while bashing Pakistan cricket team captain Misbah-ul-Haq.
In the video, TTP spokesperson said that some media channels are praising Indian batsman and criticising Misbah-ul-Haq which is against national interest.
