ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Friday has informed the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak over involvement of some ministers in corrupt activities.
Imran Khan directed the CM KPK Pervez Khattak for taking immediate and necessary action against the ministers found guilty in corruption.
Pervez Khattak had announced vowing support each anti-corruption moves in the provincial government on different event.
Imran Khan also reminded that PTI was given a mandate in the elections on two main counts; to bring peace to the country, especially Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, and to stamp out corruption.
Imran Khan stated that there can be absolutely no compromise on these two issues. He pointed out that already the government had lost Rs 8 billion in just one corruption case involving Swiss accounts.
Pakistan cannot afford to lose another Rs 4 billion in fines as a result of expedient compromises on the same case.
“All this money could have gone towards investment in education and betterment of the nation.” Imran Khan said. He was adamant that PTI would not tolerate any corruption at any level but would act immediately to punish the guilty.
