KARACHI: After a number of allegations leveled against its leader, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is all set to sue cricketer turned politician Imran Khan.
Imran Khan, the chief of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), has alleged MQM and its leader Altaf Hussain over killing of PTI leader Zehra Shahid.
Countering allegations over its leadership, MQM leader Haider Abbas Rivzi blamed in a press conference on Monday that PTI had failed in fulfilling its words in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa. He also termed allegations regarding Zehra Shahid killing as ‘political’ maneuvering.
MQM will file a Rs. 5 billion suit against PTI Imran Khan today in the court.
Talking with newsmen out of the court, MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar said that it was matter of prestige.
“We have taken notice of allegations seriously regarding Zehra Shahid. We have asked Imran Khan to apologise from Altaf Hussain, but after passing of due time we have filed the suit of Rs. 5 billion,” he further said.
