Karachi: Karachi residents endured sweltering conditions as the feels-like temperature soared to 55°C amidst prevailing hot and humid weather on Wednesday.
The maximum recorded temperature in the city reached 37.1°C, accompanied by a relative humidity of 65%. Officials from the Meteorological Department highlighted that the perceived temperature, influenced by humidity, spiked to 55°C during the day.
Looking ahead, the Met Department forecasts cloudy weather for Thursday with continued hot and humid conditions. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 35-37°C. Morning humidity levels are predicted to fluctuate between 70 to 80%, gradually easing to 55-65% by the evening.
Karachi residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the heat, especially during the daytime hours.
