According to media reports, following Modi’s third term in office, properties, businesses, and places of worship associated with Muslims have increasingly become targets. Demonstrating a long-standing animosity towards Muslims, the Indian administration has begun demolishing homes, shops, and mosques under the pretext of illegal encroachments.
Recently, in the capital city of Delhi, mosques have been demolished under the guise of removing illegal structures. When Muslims protested against these actions, they faced undue violence. Many young Muslims were detained by the police without any legitimate cause, subjected to torture, and forcibly disappeared.
The persistence of religious violence in India is deeply regrettable. It is imperative that India takes decisive action against individuals inciting hate speech against religious minorities. The international community is watching closely: will the Modi government, under mounting global pressure, retract its anti-Muslim stance or continue its rigid policies?
