How Much Do Pakistan Cricketers Get Paid Monthly? National Team Salaries Revealed

Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially disclosed the revised monthly salary structure for national cricket team players, showcasing significant increases across all categories.

According to the latest media reports, players in category A are now entitled to a monthly salary of Rs. 4.5 million, while those in category B receive Rs. 3 million per month. This revision marks a substantial hike in player remunerations, reflecting the PCB’s commitment to rewarding performance.

Category A players, which include top cricketers such as Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Muhammad Rizwan, have seen their salaries soar by 202%. Category B players, featuring Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah, enjoy a 144% salary increase.

Players in categories C and D also benefit from notable raises of 135% and 127%, respectively. For instance, Imad Wasim, a category C player, now earns between Rs. 750,000 to Rs.1.5 million monthly. Category D players, including Iftikhar Ahmed, Hasan Ali, and Saim Ayub, also see their salaries fall within the same range.

The PCB’s revised contracts, introduced in September last year, aim to categorize players based on their performance, ensuring that top performers receive commensurate financial rewards. Alongside the monthly salaries, players also receive fixed match fees and match awards for their performances across the three formats, significantly boosting their overall earnings.
