Monsoon Rains Expected Across the Pakistan from June to August

Karachi: Monsoon rains are expected across Pakistan from June to August this year.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a higher likelihood of above-normal rainfall in central and northern Punjab, while southern Sindh and Balochistan may also experience above-normal rains.

The Meteorological Department further stated that due to the rains, higher temperatures will accelerate the melting of snow in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, potentially leading to flooding in rivers.

The department also warned that during the monsoon season, storms and strong winds are expected, and the increased rainfall may result in river flooding and urban flooding in cities.
