Karachi: One policeman was killed and four other wounded in a shooting incident inside Baldia Town Police Training Center in Karachi, southern city of Pakistan, on late Saturday night, said police.
The police said that one police man, Farooq, was killed and six others were injured when their another colleague opened indiscriminate fire on the policemen who were present there on the occasion. As a result, one policeman Abdul Karim received four bullets and died on the spot.
They said the policeman who attacked his colleague was some mentally disturbed. The police have arrested the accused and started investigation.
The body and injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi.
While, a police official told on the condition of anonymity that at time of incident all the policemen were intoxicated but police were trying to hidden the truth, The News Tribe correspondent reported.
Hospital sources also confirmed that all the injured policemen who were shifted in the hospital are intoxicated.
