Medicine Prices Surge Over 23% Annually Following Budget Approval

Islamabad: Following the budget approval, the prices of medicines have increased by more than 23% annually, along with the prices of other items.

According to media reports, pharmaceutical companies in the country have raised medicine prices by 23.33% annually. Compared to May, the prices of medicines in June increased by nearly 2%, while the fees for doctor clinics rose by over 9% annually in June.

It is noteworthy that after the budget, the prices of other commodities have also skyrocketed, making it difficult for people to afford two meals a day. In such circumstances, the public has expressed that the government should focus on providing practical support instead of making empty promises.
