Islamabad: The police in the federal capital, Islamabad, have once again arrested Amir Mughal, the president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Islamabad.
Amir Mughal was arrested outside the deputy commissioner’s office in Islamabad. PTI lawyer Asim Baig confirmed the arrest, stating that Mughal had visited the DC office to secure a no objection certificate (NOC) for the party’s upcoming rally on July 6, although the reasons for his arrest have not yet been disclosed.
This marks Mughal’s second arrest in recent months. He was previously detained on May 23 during a raid conducted by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and police on PTI’s Central Secretariat. The raid, which involved the demolition of a portion of the PTI office for alleged building rule violations, sparked strong condemnation from PTI and led to the arrest of several party activists.
