Baghdad: In Iraq, a cat beauty contest was held, and a cat named “Soso” won the title of Miss Cats.
According to Arab media, a cat beauty contest was recently held in the city of Sulaymaniyah in the Iraqi province of Kurdistan, where a total of 400 beautiful cats participated and showcased their styles to outshine each other.
When the results of the contest were announced, a cat named “Soso” charmed everyone with her antics and won the title of Miss Cats, while two other cats came in second and third place.
Officials from the Royal Veterinary Hospital in Sulaymaniyah, who organized the interesting beauty contest, said that a panel of veterinarians and animal behavior experts closely examined the participating cats.
The cats were judged based on standards set for the contest, which included their tail, eyes, fur, hair, walking style, behavior, and even their stage presence. Grades were assigned accordingly.
At the end of the contest, the beautiful cats who secured the first, second, and third positions were awarded specially prepared food and other treats.
The organizers of the contest stated that the purpose of holding such an interesting program was to foster love and compassion for animals among people and to encourage them to take care of their pets.
